A Free Coloring Page: The World Is a Better Place with You in It.

My daughter and I designed a coloring page together back in 2023. It was fun to create AND we wanted to share it with people who would appreciate the message included in it. But life and busyness and procrastination happens. So now it’s 2 years later, and this little coloring page has surfaced again, and, well, it seems more relevant than ever.

There’s a lot going on in our nation and in our world. I am very aware that there are groups of people who feel targeted, attacked, hated, or unsafe. Or maybe they feel all these things. That grieves my heart. I personally want this world to be a safe space for ALL people, for everyone to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality. Let’s be honest, that is not happening for a lot of people.

I won’t go into the why’s and the who’s right now, but I think we all can think of someone we know personally who may not feel like they belong, or that they are valued.  Maybe it’s a classmate with a disability at school. Maybe it’s a coworker who has a different skin color or different cultural background. Maybe it’s a friend going through a divorce. Maybe it’s someone who doesn’t have much in terms of resources, employment, wealth, or opportunities. Maybe it’s someone who is getting bullied and you wish you could do something about it.

Because every person living on this earth matters to Jesus, that means every person ought to matter to those of us who call ourselves Jesus-followers.  So if you know someone that needs encouragement, or someone who needs to know that they are seen and valued by you, consider giving this coloring page to them.  You might even color it yourself, and pray for that person and their needs while you are coloring it. Then give it to them (or mail it!) as a reminder to that person that THE WORLD IS A BETTER PLACE BECAUSE THEY ARE ALIVE.

Maybe you need to hear this message yourself. Maybe you are struggling to know that you belong, that you are worthy of love and respect.  I invite you to download this coloring page and contemplate God’s love, care, and purpose for your life while you color it.  Ask Him to speak to you and remind you of what He loves about you.  God longs to encourage you and affirm you, because you are His beloved child.

And if you don’t know what God’s voice sounds like, He often says things like: 

I LOVE YOU.

I CREATED YOU AND I DELIGHT IN YOU.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING TO EARN MY LOVE.

I AM WITH YOU. I AM FOR YOU. 

I LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER COMPREHEND.

This coloring page might not change someone’s circumstances. It  may not change the world. But it might offer some hope and encouragement to someone who really needs it right now.  And if that person is you, please know: THE WORLD IS A BETTER PLACE WITH YOU IN IT.
